How do I add alt text to images in a Wix newsletter?

What are you trying to achieve:
I’ve chosen a Wix template to send a newsletter and I need to add alt text to images in it.
What have you already tried:
I’ve checked the forum but all the Wix help is about adding alt text to images on the actual website, not in the newsletter that I’m sending via the Email Marketing facility.
Additional information:
We work with a community who use text readers so need to get this right, or will need to export the contacts list from Wix into another package.
