Hello everyone.
I’ve created a side-scrolling effect on our website. You will scroll down the website until you reach a horizontal list of our services, then the website will pause on this list and scrolling will instead move the list from right to left until you reach the end of the list, then scrolling will let you continue down through the website.
I’m attempting to recreate this feature in the mobile version of the site, but it seems to be having trouble translating the animation (right now on the mobile version, it’s a jumbled incoherent mess of boxes, images, and text that scroll randomly).
Before I try to troubleshoot it all and go slowly insane, does anyone have any tips or tricks to make a list side-scroll on a mobile site? Is there a feature or animation that I’m missing that would make this a lot easier? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thank you!
Thanks so much for the reply!
I actually found a perfect workaround. I’d originally made the list of services by just duplicating items inside a container (I used a section template under Add Element > Sections > Interactive Sections > Click > Reach New Heights) which worked well for desktop but made an absolute mess out of the mobile site. I just replaced it with a slider repeater which automatically organized everything, and adds exactly the effect I wanted on the mobile site which is that it lets you scroll the list sideways.
I was able to add the repeater via Add Elements > Layout Tools > Repeaters, and selected the first option with the three items side by side.
On a side note though, is there a reason you can’t rename each individual item in a repeater? It gives you the option to rename each item which seems like a no-brainer but changing the name of one changes the name of all of them. Is this something that’s going to be changed in the future? It’s a little weird.
