Been using this site since 2012 and I deeply hate all of the changes that many are force into.
I want to completely disable sections so I can use the editor as I always have, drag and drop and not fiddling with pointless features everyone don’t use.
How do i disable the feature for good.

It’s not possible to disable sections, although they function similarly to how strips work.
From my experience, sections help segment content on the page, e.g. your above the fold section, contact section, about us section etc.
If you’re really not set on using them, you could set your section to be the height that you want for the page, and then work within it like a page?
If there’s any specific feedback about them, I’d be happy to share with the team 
I already tried.
I cannot drag and drop a box onto the page without it getting stuck in the section I don’t want.
Completely blank page, can’t move the container box anywhere despite nothing is there. completely dumb concept to begin with.
weird. so you cant select the container and move it ?
the page was completely empty with nothing there but the black container as I did not want too much stuff on the new page. Since it was annoying me I just decided to use the black container as the background.
Sections are terrible. They are annoying. PLEASE give us an option to hide, disable something. If you have a lot of images on a page the sections just don’t work right. UGH!!
@user4824 you can just use 1 section for the whole page if required.
There is no point in hiding or disabling sections as then you would just have the header and footer to work with.
