Hi, Eren. What is the ‘welcome screen’ you are trying to remove?
Is it your homepage? Some other page in your site? Something else?
Can you post a screenshot?
Hi, Jim. Thanks for your response.
Here are the explanations about the welcome screen on mobile. It’s actually easy to add and remove that feature on Wix but can’t find the correct solution in Editor X.
Hi, Eren. I don’t have much experience with the Wix editor, so that’s not something I was aware of.
I just built a quick Wix test site (with a welcome screen) and migrated it to Editor X. Once I did that (and re-published), the welcome screen was still there and I was unable to find any obvious way to access it. It’s not in the pages list, and I didn’t find any editor-accessible code for it.
Maybe someone else has done this and will jump in here. But I think this is something you’ll need to raise with the support team.
Hi, Jim. Thank you for your effort and interest anyway.
Yes, I will contact with the support team. Hope they’ll find a solution.
I suspect this is an oversight in the migration tool – the Welcome screen should not be migrated. There’s no way to access it via the Editor X editor, and it will therefore require Editor X tech support to remove it.
Let us know what happens.
I will.
Thank you again for everything.
I had a different but similar problem with header being corrupted after migrating the site.
After weeks of talking with support a solution was found, to simply delete the header and create a new one.
Maybe a similar approach will work for you, maybe you can delete something that triggers this and then recreate it.
One thought that comes to mind, create a new page, copy the design elements of the homepage to it, and then delete your homepage and declare the page you created as your new homepage.
Well it could be a fine solution but the welcome screen isn’t just for homepage unfortunately.
When I load any page of the site on mobile, the welcome screen appears anyway.
I don’t get any answers from support yet. Hopefully, when the problem is fixed, I’ll let you know.
I had this also when i migrated to Ed-X, is there a fix?
Unfortunately there is no fix from support yet.
