How to use dropdown search & send users to the relevant search result page?

Hi,

I have been reading about how to add search using a dropdown element on Velo Tutorial: Adding Collection Data Search Functionality | Help Center | Wix.com and I am not sure it gives me the answer that I am looking for. I am looking to create a main search bar on my homepage, where users can select the service and the location they want, and when clicking the search button, being taken to the relevant search result page which has been built. The article shows how to filter a collection on the same page, which is not what I want. What steps & codes I may need in order to build the function that I am looking to have?

Did you manage to get it working with the filter?
You can use wixLocation.to method in order to navigate to the relevant search result page.

Hey,

There’s no official tutorial on Wix on how to do it, but I may be able to help. Can you give a bit more details about the challenges you have?
