HTML code in HTML Element went missing?

I’m fairly new to Velo by Wix, so this might just be a newbie question.

I placed an HTML Element on one of my pages and I added a lot of HTML code to it over the past week. It was working fine.

Just now, I came back to that page in the Wix Editor, I clicked on the “Edit Code” button, and I was surprised to see that all my HTML code (for that HTML Element) is now missing. It’s just a big empty textarea where my HTML code used to appear.

Has anyone else seen that happen?

I tried going back in my “site history”, but the HTML Element doesn’t render in any of the old versions, so I’m reluctant to restore an old version.

Any suggestions?

Use the Chrome dev tools to inspect the HTML element when previewing (history panel) the old working version. Inspecting you will find the HTML code.

Another way is use the Network option on the Dev Tools and select the HTML fetching network data package.

You need to know about Chrome Dev Tools.
