Image Fit Mode code is only available on Wix Editor, but not on Editor X.

You are correct, the property for the fitMode on Editor X images is currently not available.
Images are automatically be set to āfillā. We plan on supporting this and new capabilities with corvid very soon.

Any updates on the status of this? Having object-fit modes exposed to the user in the image settings would be very helpful as object-fit: fill; is terrible for things like logos where object-fit: contain; would be a much better option. Currently are no solutions to make this work in a responsive manor with bitmap graphics.
Where are we on this? This is an essential feature, especially when using a repeater. What are the alternatives for the fit mode? What does wix do?
This feature can be located in the image settings to push the ānocodeā to 100%! ā¦
Soon 1 year that this feature is requested. Instead of working on new features, it would be interesting for the wix team to add the basic features we had on the old editor ā¦ If it takes 1 year for the editor x team to add our old features , so I think there is a really big management problem within the team. The priority would already be to add the old functionality. 
Hi, FitMode is also essential to me, iām working for art galleries and artists, artworks images are sometimes in landscape and sometimes in portrait, cropping artworks is considered as a ācrimeā. Editor X is out of beta since few months now, and i unfortunately realised that I have no used of it without this function. Iām supposed to deliver a site to a client in the upcoming weeks, and he is really not satisfied.

@chrisdis9112383 Definitely not a solution, Artworks (and exhibitions) have various custom fields (artist name, title, dim, ā¦). Referential database is required, so I work with the content manager and repeater. I also need to have full control on the design and iām working with lightbox (onclick). Editor X isnāt supposed to be an intuitive solution (mostly without code) to create dynamic, sophisticated and fully customised website from scratch ?
With this not. For projects like this I would use webflow. You can design everything costum there

For my particular niche market, the new solution that offer Artlogic (https://artlogic.net/websites/art-gallery-websites/) is becoming the mostly recommended solution. I saw an alternative in EditorX to developed more customised website aligned with the digital identity of my customers, but Iām missing some essential functions (FitMode, Inquire, Clean Slideshow, ā¦). I hope it will be implemented soon.

OMG! I just realized that these messages are from a year ago! Lol. Wix! How is this possible? This feature is necessary!
We receiving feedback for this feature quite often for the past few month, indeed we can tell the same regarding some time ago.
we are collecting and forwarding all feedback on fitMode feature, so I hope our developers will be able to release it soon enough
@andrewt Really disappointed with wix, I find it shameful that such a basic feature and already present on the old editor is still not available today on this editorā¦ Several people on this forum have already commented āthe updates are very slow on this new editorā. This post sums up this situation very wellā¦
