Hello, on the site I’m working on, I have a real problem.
When the contact form is filled and sen, my client is supposed to be noticed by email…an automation was done for that, unfortunately, it doesn’t work, the help form Wix didn’t help us o resolve that…
For me it’s a basic item, can’t understand why it’s so complex to manage.
Are you able to share more/screenshot of the automation? Is it a simple automation (trigger and action), or do you have conditions running?
If it’s a custom automation, you can use the run log to see if it ran or not - Wix Automations: Understanding Run Logs | Help Center | Wix.com

After some test, it seems that the problem is not coming from the automation, but form the email address used. It’s still a bit mysterious, but it works !
