Hi Tom! There is still no way to access code directly, even with WixCode. AFAIK - due to security reasons.
So, if this tag is not seo settings for the site - then it’s impossible to add it…

In general, you can’t modify sitemap for your site directly (only one exception is custom router, but this is very specific case)
I think you can try to ask again in support about it…
But in general Wix SEO is good enough without specifically setting something special - that’s their approach, you should not worry about such things, it’s done “somewhere inside” - IMHO

A hight member of the google forum gave me a solution and I wanted to have your opinion.
He suggested me to create a new sitemap with an other tool, like screaming frog, including the hreflang tags and to submit this new sitemap in the google search console.
What do you think about that ?

Hello Seb,
If Google Search Console allows you to manually upload a sitemap file your solution should work.
However as you can see in this Google article , Google requires you to manually edit robots.txt to include the externally generated sitemap.

Bit confused to the behaviour of hreflang tag, as last month a had been warred by an audit of the site that there where incorrect href. So I took a look at the page source to see it and in my view what was there was correct hreflang=“x-default” great. I have now been warred that there is no href tag. had a look again and there is no sign of it.
So whats going on ? I don’t really need one as we only have our site in English and we do not have other language versions. But at lest can have a default instead of nothing. was this removed and why + whats your intent for hreflang tags.
I presume its due to a conflict with rel=canonical
I have also added a snippet of this event.
Woke up this morning to an email from Google Search Console saying i have Errors in hreflang tags.
Never had this or seen this before, so i am not sure what is going on. I find contacting Wix support very cumbersome and sometime just give up on finding an answer.
Anyone know anything about this?
