This might be THE most valuable discussion yet.

Oh this is going to be amazing!!!

Looking forward to it and increasiing SEO skills and knowledge to be fully current this year!

I would really like some discussion on pricing. See if one is just starting out like me, although I get a lot of concepts and been studying for over a year, I am wondering:

  • What a base fee should be for a month to get a client on board

  • How many months one should tell a client to wait for concrete results

  • What percentage to increase fees after showing results
The pricing of some of these programs to use for research can only be justified by getting regular clients to agree to ongoing work and recurring payments for success displayed.

Yes, SEO seems to be a major way to get in with clients, and to become their go to person for everything after!

SEO is much stickier than web design/development. This means that if you do a GOOD job with SEO you can have a long term client.

@david-rosenblatt That’s why we need to do a great job!

I don’t offer SEO as a paid service beyond what Wix offers, but look forward to the discussions in this Tribe.

I too am hoping to improve my SEO skills which are pretty basic

Hi Glo! It depends really on the project! Is it more competitive or less! How many keys…sites…! In case of OFF-PAGE-OPTIMIZATIONS you have to calculate always the costs for the Backlinks (quality & high authoritive sites). For some cases (example: longtail keys, local businesses) there is just enough sometimes to have a great onpage optimiziation & citation links (yellow…)! I use THE SEO TOOL AHREFS to check the competition and how difficult is a ranking! For Onpage-Optimization you calculate how many hours you need for…and as I said this is always different for each project! Always individual prices! I do online coaching in that case I have a fix price! But the rest is for sure individual! And if you get a off-page contract from the customer - you can keep him “forever” ;-)! If you give him great results! Never tell “im gonna rank you on 1” ;-). Best regards.

Best Regards Marko J.

@sayhi Great advise Marko…about never promising to rank someone on the 1st page. I often have told clients and prospective clients that if they receive a solicitation promising to rank them #1…to run as fast and as far as they can. I recently had a prospective client tell me that someone else promised to rank them on the 1st page. I suggested they do 2 things: 1) hire the person/agency and: 2) keep my phone number as they are sure to need it when the other bidder disappoints them.

@david-rosenblatt Hi David thx for reply! Look if you are confident enough - its no problem to say Page 1 (top 10) - but never 1st of the first ;-)! I never had problems to get in the top 10 (local bizz) But yes - it really depends which branch sometimes! A client will never be happy with page 2 ,-)! There is no lead generation there possible! But off course - when a company is just starting from 0 and see the grow to position 20-30 its great! But without Offpage optimizitation - it will stay there (in a competitive industry)! Best wishes

Im with you on this. I do though, offer my clients a Google My Business Listing and that helps boost them. Looking forward to following this

I am hoping to shred tips about SEO, make new connections with other wix pros, experts and developers. I hope as a group we strengthen our skills and client base. My pricing is based off of customer needs and if they have a budget for adwords, social media boost posts with facebook and so many areas of SEO. At wix google SEO connect is very important and a very valuable tool as well as the site tags, alt names, page titles, descriptions, keywords and the site checklist in the wix dashboard. This is the most important start to successful SEO.

Nicely put!

I would love to join this tribe and this discussion. The more I can learn about SEO the better. I find that my clients have unrealistic ideas about what it takes to get a site to move up in rankings. The more I learn, the better I can assist and improve my skills.

Hi Dena and WELCOME! SEO is a really long process I am doing it since 2013 and I still learn every day new things ;-)! There are so many factors which you have to take into account besides the wix seo wizard guidelines ;-)! But for the basics its a good introduction! Sometimes you have to THINK OUT OF THE BOX  in competitve niches or local businesses! SEO is for me the best way to do my own projects - and have a stable income through this process! In that case - you can do what YOU WANT and how you want ;-)! Best Luck.

Great questions for seo experts, thank you:

What are your plans for SEO in 2025?
My plan is to coach some more business owners in SEO and keep learning my self. Now there is a lot AI-Stuff going on, what means there is a big move in the market.
You can find my SEO coaching here SEO Coach & Mentor, der wirklich zu Dir passt!

Also I’m developing an plattform for exchange programming/webdesign Jobs.
If you like also check it out. You can offer your WIX services there too.

What strategies are you using?
The same actually like always, but now there is a lot more importance for good workflow and using AI - meanwhile maintaining a great level of quality to visitors…

How are you pricing your services?
Usually i have packages.
