OK … I pasted it on the page, then checked it by right-clicking on the live site and selecting ‘Copy image address’ or ‘Save as.’ At least based on my experiment, it seems that the file remains in .avif format. I believe this used to be converted to WebP, so this might indicate that Wix now evaluates AVIF as fully surpassing WebP. Personally, I’m happy with this result.
