Context: I’m not a website designer, I can design websites on things like Joomla back then, and Wix now. I have a Wix site for my small business use. Currently I have my website on Wix Editor.
Problem: I want to ramp up my advertising and want to create landing pages to clarify my offerings.
Mixed problem statements:
- Wix Editor does offer landing pages, but everything will need significant work to get it to what I need.
- I tried converting to Wix Studio, which really just means, rebuild your entire website.
- I tried Wix Harmony to just create a new website, so that, via Harmony I could easily and quickly, create landing pages later on.
This seemed promising. The interaction was good. Then came, what appeard to be the final step and question, who do I NOT want to work with, was posed as an option over who I want to work with.
I typed my prompt response, then was shown, for about 1 second, a response that read something like “This falls outside user guidelines” and then disappeared, and Harmony showed me the start of the process.
No option to review what you typed. No option to retype it or correct it. No option to continue where you left off. Just, total restart.
So…what does this leave me with, sadly…moving away from Wix cause, Wix Studio seemed a good move, but that appears to be not really liked by users, I certainly tried it a few times before today, and I couldn’t quite see the benefit, it didn’t save time, and the interface is cumbersome.
No Wix Harmony that seems to glitch as well.
Soz Wix Team, but, for all the good you try and do, I do think, given you are a publicly listed company, and given you have seemingly large Private Equity investment, I think the drive has moved away from making Wix work for customers, towards rather making Wix work for the shareholders.
