I still host around ten websites on the platform today, which is exactly why I find its evolution so disappointing.
Wix once built a remarkable product, with a significant lead over much of the market. But over time, it feels like the platform has stopped evolving at the pace it should.
The issue is no longer that competitors have caught up with Wix. In many areas, they have simply moved ahead.
Features evolve too slowly, parts of the experience still feel primarily designed for English-speaking users, and too many tools now feel behind what the market offers elsewhere.
It is genuinely frustrating to see such a strong project, once so far ahead of the competition, gradually become what I now consider a third-tier solution.
I currently have around ten websites hosted on Wix. Over the coming months, I will progressively move them to other platforms.
It is a shame to see a product with so much potential lose such a strong position.

I share the same feeling.
The prices are super high, the potential is there, but there is not much communication, nor involvement of a beta tester community.
Recently I used the wix support several time to solve tricky situations, but never got a satisfying answer.
If I may ask to which competitor platform do you move ?

I agree too! My organization was once very happy with Wix and optimistic that it would continue to grow and improve. But for the last year or two it frequently feels that Wix is prioritizing development for features that have nothing to do with the way we use the application, while the core functionalities that we rely on seem to be actually degrading and there is little movement on development of features that would actually benefit us. Customer support has noticeably worsened and become way more difficult to access.
I’m left wondering if Wix has totally shifted focus to a different user base, or if the trajectory of the company has just become detached from actual user needs. With several extremely frustrating incidents in the last 18 months, I’m increasingly worried that after having invested in Wix for years (and it’s not cheap!), we will have to make a significant investment to move to another platform.
