Layouters need more customization

Would like to easily add more sections “blocks” to the Layouters - but not just by applying grids within each section. Want to add more sections to the layouts themselves.
(Right now, there are “+” and “-” buttons, but these just add or decrease the width.)

Also would like to easily adjust the spacing between each section.
Thank you very much!

Hi!

Sounds like you are working on some great stuff here. I did not fully understand if you are having trouble adding more items to the layouter or if you wanted a layout nested inside a layouter.

Here is how to do both:

Adding more items to the layouter

To add a new item, drag a new container into the Layouter and place your cursor between 2 items. (You will see a thick blue indicator appear)

You can also duplicate an existing item via right-click.

Nesting a layouter inside a layouter

You can drag a layouter inside of another layouter to convert it to the child and create a unique layout within the item.

Hope that this helps. Please let us know if you have any remaining questions.
Thanks

Hi. Actually no… I’m not working on any great stuff yet in Editor X until more bugs get repaired and it is out of testing phase. (I’m actually still trying to get my Wix Editor website fixed and was told that developers are working on some solutions for importing sites built on Wix Editor into Editor X… I really hope that gets implemented soon.)

Meanwhile… I was browsing around Editor X and noticed that the Layouters seemed to be limited by the number of gray-colored sections. Your 3 solutions work, so thank you very much! (The right-click duplication was easiest for me.)

However, it would be great if these solutions were listed within the Layouter element somewhere… like under “Manage Layout” with a description of how to add more sections. Otherwise, if you hadn’t told me I wouldn’t have known.
Thank you.

By the way, Sebi Vidret … you also mentioned the ‘please let us know’ regarding a different question I posted about a month ago. Could you please respond to that?
I would greatly appreciate it. Link is below. Thank you.

Sorry, one more thing… I still would like to know how to easily adjust the spacing between each section. If you notice on your " Nesting a layouter inside a layouter" video, the spacing (of sections) within the nested Layouter is different from the original Layouter. How could I make all the spacing the same? Or how can I increase/decrease the spacing?
