Does anyone else experience problems when altering the dimensions of a lightbox?

I am trying to place a lightbox over a page section that is stuck to that particular section (even when scrolling). When I do try to change the height/width of any lightbox, the position is altered each time.
I have tried to make the lightbox sticky and hide overflow content too.
