Linking to an external vimeo video instead of uploading to the media manager for collection galleries?

In my dynamic pages, I want to add pro galleries that link to external vimeo videos to keep site storage down. In order to do this, I added a “media gallery” to the collection to add my vimeo links. However, there’s no option to add links to this gallery section… I see that I can do this when uploading to the pro gallery directly and working on a static page with no dataset connected to it, but,

when I try adding the videos in a dynamic page/collection that has a “gallery” section it doesn’t give me the option to link to vimeo, only upload. Any advice?

if I can understand it correct, in first case scenario, you are uploading video via Pro Gallery
and in scenario n.2, you are working with Media Manager, correct?

Yup. The second image is the media manager that pops up when I try to add content to a gallery section in a collection.


Is there anyway to use that media gallery section to link to external vimeo links?

may I ask you did you try to use separate link, not the one already uploaded to Media Manager?

If I understand what you’re saying correctly then, yes. The links I was wanting to add to it are from vimeo. I didn’t upload them to media manager because I’m wanting to keep the site storage down

unfortunately I got no solution for you here, but you can contact Wix Customer Care team regarding the Content Manager so they will take a closer look over the situation and forward the situation to the technical team if this will be required.
