I had an issue where my live site stopped populating my linked tables. It worked fine in Preview. I tried syncing Sandbox and Live site in various ways, but that didn’t work. Wix support was no help after a long hold. Eventually, I created the database collection again and relinked it to the table on the page. It was virtually a copy of the old one. I then exported and imported the data, and it all started working.
Ok so that solved the issue?
No. The issue still exists in the original Database collection. But this is a workaround - a bit painful if you have a lot of DB interaction in the pages, though it may be possible to delete the old DB and then create a new one with the same name. I didn’t try that.
It sounds like you have a problem with the collection permissions. Note that in preview, you, by default, have full admin permissions on database access. On the published site, your users are subject to the data access permissions you set.
Have a look here-
I checked all the permissions of all my tables. Everything is set to Admin. And yet, some of the work on the live site and some of them don’t. Any idea as to why? I did change the permissions of the non-working DB to “Anyone” and it seems to be working now, but it’s disconcerting that the others work without this change.
Hey,
Can you please share with us the Site URL so that we can have a look? Moreover, please clarify to which collection you were referring.
Thanks,
Tal.
arcooperative.org - Members was the errant collection. Changing the permissions fixed it, but other collections worked using just “Admin” for all the permission settings.
