I need shopping cart customization but I’ve been told it can’t be done yet.

What kind of customization you need? Wix has already released the Store and Store Backend Apis. And I am already using it to customise the store experience for my clients. If you tell me specific, I can check if it’s doable or not.

While you can change the interface leading up to the checkout page, the actual checkout page cannot be modified via code. Hopefully in the future they release this functionality.
