Question:
I have a videobox that automatically plays a video in a loop. I have hidden the play button by making it transparent but I the cursor is still clickable over the videobox component so if a user clicks on the video it stops. I don’t want the component to be clickable at all. How can I do this?
Product:
Wix Stdio Editor | VideoBox
What are you trying to achieve:
Stop the videobox component from being clickable. I don’t want the video to stop/start if the videobox is clicked on.
What have you already tried:
I looked at all the settings and can’t find an option to stop the video box from being clickable.

Hi, @user5706 !!
Hello. In response to such needs, it’s quite common in this community to recommend placing a “completely transparent container box” over the top. While it may be a somewhat low-tech approach, I believe it can be an effective solution in practice. I encourage you to give it a try.

Was about to suggest the same thing. PLace the video box in a container then add another container over the top inside
Yes.
Think of it like putting the video into a clear box and then placing a clear lid on top — that kind of image can help guide the setup.
Glad you found a solution
Not sure on your exact use case - but it’s worth taking into consideration accessibility requirements, which often mean allowing users to control things such as videos playing/or not (for example, those sensitive to motion)
