I think I’ve managed to successfully query the member data. However, I’ve created a field in Contacts called “Member Number”. For now, all members of the physical club are a Wix Contact. But not all club members are Wix Site Members.
All club members have a 4 digit Member Number. I’ve created a custom field in Contacts to store this Member Number. Questions/Need Help:
-
how do I prevent the site member from editing his/her own Member Number? This needs to be locked.
-
can I create my own custom field using Field Type: Labels (tags)?
Thanks in advance!
I don’t know, but wouldn’t it be better to create a separate DB, which would carry all the needed informations, instead of adding them into CRM ?
And by the way → a DB can be locked
Yes. I thought about this initially. But I also want to be able to use all of the CRM tools that Wix offers to communicate with the members without managing two separate databases.
Tell me more about “locking” a database?
@mike91901
Take a look if you can use the PMD for your purposes (not sure)!
PMD → PrivateMembers-Data-Collection.
By locking a DB i meant → to give your DB certain permissions, what makes sure, that just specific users → members/content-creators/admins can access the DB.
You can modify the DB permissions in your Wix-Content-Manager.
