Multiple Datasets Oddity

My site was functioning normally prior to adding a new dataset that manages a news feed. Once added, not only did the connection to the news feed dataset (#dataset2) break, the addition also caused the existing dataset (#dataset1) to stop working. I was using the new dataset to populate a repeater for news items. I also have a bit of code that simply takes from #dataset1 and replaces the src of an html element to allow for a current podcast link. Both collections are synched/live AND work perfectly in PREVIEW… but all fail when published. If I remove #dataset2, #dataset1 works normally. Any help would be appreciated.

The entire site is broken now. Even reverting back to the former single dataset time period does not fix the site. It is as though the databases corrupted. What the heck? Can any devs help me here? I am becoming very frustrated at this turn of events…

Holy gods… all the datasets are broken now. Is this affecting anyone else?

Yes there are a few people reporting issues with Datasets. Is still an issue for you?

No longer. I was watching the world break before my very eyes. Thanks for the response. I sincerely hope this does not happen that often or I may have to reconsider my subscription.

Did you change anything or it fixed itself? I am still having the same issue and it’s been 3+ hours. Others still reporting the same error also

There is certainly a panic in the air now. Sheesh. The issues I had have been resolved. I went over my code and application of elements and dataset connections and everything should have been working. I figured I would leave it its altered state and deal with it tomorrow. I loaded the site in incognito mode and flushed cache/cookies. Once done, I notice the site functioned normally. I can only assume garbage gummed up the dataset info.

Meh. Forget everything I just said. It is all broken again. Hope this mess gets fixed soon. Definitely on their end.

Same here, problem sorted it self out for a while and then I changed the text in one field in the database and the whole thing crashed again. Yisrael from Wix looking into my code currently. Hopefully they can sort out the issue, or at least let everybody know whats going on.

Wow. Actually speaking with a rep. He says they don’t know of anything wrong when I asked directly. He is now looking into the issue while I am on hold.

are you in US/Canada?

Hey Stephen

Update for you

Washington, US > Thanks for the update. Acknowledged the issue and took care of it. I was getting a bit worried.
