Is it still true that a dynamic page created from a dataset can not be part of the menu? and I need to be creative about it.
How can I make a datasetted page a homepage? should I start with a regular page and code it, or should I make a dynamic page.
Would a dynamic page ever be able to be a homepage or a menued page? if so, what is the best practice?
I am asking exploring the current boundaries, not related to specific codes. THANK YOU>
Thank you so much for definitive answer. If you don’t mind, could you let me know the straightforward way IN YOUR OPINION to make a dynamic page part of the menu? I have read earlier about some sort of redirect buried in the code of a regular page. I was wondering if I was missing some easier.
I guess right now I am only using the “dynamic page duo” method because of the URL and the “dynamic data set” linkage. It is convenient. Thanks,
Chang
Click Menus&Pages on the left side of the Editor. Hover over the page you would like to convert to a dynamic page . Click the Show More icon . Click Set as a Dynamic Page .
Thanks. I seem to find another way as well.
So here is a summary for myself and community.
Yes dynamic page (the ALL) page can be part of the menu. This menu item is automatically created when you generate duo dynamic pages (the parent ALL and the children, item). And the parent page is in the menu. This parent page can not be converted to a home.
One can certainly add code to a static page and call the children dynamic page. Don’t convert the page to a dynamic page. And you can make that page a homepage by going to properties (mean to the right of the page) and force that page to be the home page.
