Introducing a new and exciting capability for Editor X Repeaters - the Repeater AB design pattern! Create unique designs with the new ability to create an AB pattern by splitting Repeater items into two sets, each set sharing the design and interaction settings.
Repeaters is a list of items that have the same design and layout but with different content in each one. With the Repeater AB design pattern feature, you can split the repeater items into two groups of the same design and interactions.
To create an AB pattern, select the Repeater and toggle on this option from the Inspector panel. You can find it under the Display Type dropdown. The Repeater’s new pattern will be applied to all of the Repeater’s display types… When Designing with AB pattern, the design changes you create on Item A won’t affect Item B and vice versa. This allows you to create two unique item designs and present them with dynamic content by connecting your Repeater to a data collection.
Just like the content in the Repeater items, the order of the AB pattern stays the same on all breakpoints. The changes you make cascade down, unless you customize smaller breakpoints and break the cascading chain. For example, if you only want the AB pattern on Desktop, you can design the B variant to look like the A variant on Tablet, which will cascade down to Mobile. .
Note: When toggling off the AB design pattern, all items appearance will be converted to Item A and Item B overrides will be deleted from all breakpoints.
The Repeater AB design pattern feature is a powerful tool that allows you to create customized designs for your website. Whether you’re showcasing products or services, displaying images, or presenting information, this feature will help you create visually stunning and engaging websites that your site visitors will love.
