You can now temporarily disable auto-docking :
Hold the cmd key — or Ctrl on a PC while dragging or resizing an element.
The element’s docking directions will be kept as long as you hold the key.

imho the auto docking should have a permanent override function. Every time I touch an element, it reverts to your algorithm for snapping to the closest edge of the section. I’m wanting to be able to set EVERY element to the top, and manually override it if it needs changed. Re-stretching sections make bottom docked elements a pain to manage.

This doesn’t work. This auto docking is the worst feature wix has ever come out with. I’ve wasted so much time moving things because everything auto docks when I need to resize the page. This needs to have a permanent override function.
