Question:
Is it possible to setup an automation that notifies the site owner when a member updates their address or phone number?

Product:
Members Area in Wix Studio

What are you trying to achieve:
We have a client that uses an external accounting system and they’d like to be notified when one of their members updates their details so they can update it in their software (in an ideal world this would be automated but baby steps)

What have you already tried:
I’ve looked at the condition options in the automation for ‘get an email’ and whilst I can select phone or address as a condition as far as I can tell none of the other options ‘is, is not, date time etc’ work. I think I’m needing something like ‘last updated is today’. Hoping there’s an easy solution that I’ve completely missed.

As far as I’m aware, automatons don’t provide all the functionality you’d need to get this setup.

If you’re interested in exploring a little bit of code, you can combine the onMemberUpdated event (found here) with triggered emails to notify the site contributor of a member profile change.

So, when the member updates their profile, the event is run and an email is sent :slight_smile:
