Hi @user5253 ,
It sounds like you’ve already done a great job optimizing your images, but there are a few more things you can try to improve the speed of your online ordering page:
- Check for Unnecessary Apps: Sometimes, third-party apps or widgets can slow down the page. Review any apps you’ve installed on the page and remove any that aren’t essential to the user experience.
- Enable Wix Performance Settings: Go to Settings > SEO > Performance in your Wix editor and make sure that all optimization features are enabled, such as caching and image optimization. This can help boost the overall page speed.
- Use Lazy Loading: For any images or content below the fold, consider enabling lazy loading. This means that the content only loads when the user scrolls down to it, which can significantly speed up initial load times.
- Simplify the Page Layout: If possible, simplify the layout by reducing the number of elements on the page. Fewer elements can help the page load faster.
- Test with Google PageSpeed Insights: Use Google PageSpeed Insights or GTmetrix to identify other potential issues that might be slowing down the page, such as render-blocking JavaScript or excessive file sizes.
By combining these strategies, you should notice an improvement in response time. If you’re still having trouble, consider using the Website Speedy app from the Wix App Market for more automated optimizations. It can help with image compression and other performance improvements.
