Hey everyone,
Not sure if this #featurerequest has been discussed already, but one option I feel is lacking in the #stores #shipping features is to disable one or more shipping option from certain products.
For example: I offer free shipping over £25 for standard shipping in my store for everyday goods. However, I also offer products which count as ‘hazardous goods’ in limited quantity, for which I have a special shipping account which is much more expensive to ship via.
Therefore, if I were to continue to offer free shipping over £25 for standard shipping, these goods would end up being shipped FOC on any order over £25 which my profit margin will not cover.
Currently, the only option I have is to stop offering free shipping on orders over £25 (which I feel is poor customer service on my part), or take a massive hit on the products which need shipping via special shipment.
If I could remove the option for shipping via standard shipping on any products in the order which come under the ‘hazardous goods’ product group, then I would not be losing profits, yet still be able to offer free standard shipping for orders which don’t include items from this collection.
What do we think?
