As I’ve learned you can check with ‘wixWindow.formFactor’ for the device (deskopt or mobile) that the user is using viewing your website.
Is there by any chance a way to force the mobile site layout to be in landscape and not in portrait view? I’m displaying a lot of full screen pictures and the landscape device orientation works way better with pictures that are in landscape format.
There’s no straight forward way of doing that. Please see my answer here .
The solution is pretty much the same… you can hide/show/collapse elements according to view type.
thanks for your response. This would mean I would have to try to get text 90’ rotatet? Think it’s not possible with Wix to have rotated text?
But I have another idea… I will just show a lightbox asking the user to rotate its device… hope that works…
Thanks anyway!
Thomas
PS: It would be really appreciated you could focus for a short time on layout, design improvements as the database/collection related stuff seems to be improved now
