i’m here writing because I didn’t find any hint about a Popup banner for Privacy and Cookies Policy on Wix, neither an App.
Now it seems to be mandatory the use of checkboxes inside a banner popup for the first access to a website.
I’m not a programmer and I need a Huge help to implement this banner for my new website.
I appreciate every kind of help.

I have a partial solution to this issue, but need tech support to get it working properly. I work in security and data privacy, so it is very important for me to have a working cookie banner for my site so my customers can see that I practice what I preach, but I am not a code developer. Wix’s solution does not seem to offer any controls over which cookies are collected on the site and does not allow the user any control over the cookies so their is no valid consent or audit trail.
If you are looking for a free tool to create and display the GDPR / eCookie Directive and California Data Privacy Act (CCPA) compliant cookie banner on your site, you can use CookiePro from OneTrust. The tool will allow you to customize your banner with your own colors, default cookies to be used, etc. and then provides you with the HTML code to be used on your site. OneTrust sells other modules that provide the audit capability, website scanning for cookies, etc.

The problem I am having is that the HTML code provided should be added to the Header on your page, and if the user wants to customize the settings, the box expands (lengthens) to show the additional options, and I could not figure out how to get this working on the header since the lengthened box would show up behind the main page. I ended up creating a lightbox and adding a HTML window, and checked the option for the lightbox to appear on all pages, but the solution is clunky, and does not seem to be working on mobile devices for some reason…
