Jon here. I’ve been making Wix sites for over 12 years. Happily, I am now rolling out ProBonoWebsites.org! We are currently seeking designers & developers (Wix or otherwise) to get involved with our efforts. These will be small, free website builds/redesigns for people in need - basically, this is a charitable effort to help small businesses, startups, etc.
Why get involved with doing free sites for those in need? Beyond helping society in general, our approach is to partner with lawyers/law firms that do pro bono business work, but also have paying clients for referrals to you. Additionally, among other benefits, this increases your portfolio and we will also put your linked logo on our site. Plus, these small builds will be under your name and that means you get the credit from Wix (more Marketplace leads!), as well as the annual Wix hosting commission.
