Push/Force Push from local not propagating live

Full Disclosure, I’m super new to Wix/Corvid, but I’ve been doing web design for some time now, just usually in Rails or WordPress.

I set up a local environment for redesigning a client’s Wix site, so that I could tweak and fiddle safely without disrupting their live site. They just approved the design two days ago, and when I went to push, I kept getting the error “There is a problem pushing your local version to the remote repository. Please try again later.”

I did some googling around, and found advice suggesting I roll back to the last version of the site before I cloned it. I tried this, and the message upon push changed, giving me the option to “Force Push” - hooray!

…Except it’s been 48 hours and the new site design still hasn’t propagated! :disappointed_relieved: I can’t figure out where I’m going wrong, and I’m dreading having to redo the entire redesign on the live editor if I can’t get this working. Can anyone help?

Hello Dexter,

i do not know if it fits to your imaginations of a solution, but you could also do a copy of your whole website on the wix-platform and continue your work on the COPY.
Then you are able to publish like you want, beacuse you do not touch the original one!
You will find such an option right from the main-menu in the top left area of your wix-editor.

Good luck and happy coding!
