Question: Is my website’s design good, and is it slow?
Product: Wix Editor
What are you trying to achieve: I’m trying to understand if my website has an effective and user-friendly design, and if it’s performing optimally in terms of speed. I want to ensure my visitors have a smooth experience and that the design aligns well with current standards. Specifically, I’m concerned about factors like layout, navigation, and how quickly pages load.
What have you already tried: I’ve checked some online articles and forums about website design best practices and speed optimization tips. I also ran a speed test on Google PageSpeed Insights, but I’m unsure how to interpret the results and apply the suggestions.
Additional information: The website uses several high-resolution images, and I have some animations on certain elements. I’m also using a few third-party integrations that might impact load time. Any feedback on optimizing these aspects or design tips would be helpful.

I’m sorry, but what I’m trying to get here is an “opinion” or a software suggestion. Please do not post your advertisement under every single “speed problem” related post in the forum. Sincerely.
Thank you for your response, and I really appreciate your feedback!
I took some time to review the website, and here are my observations:
-
Font Size: The font size across the site is a bit small. Increasing the font size will improve readability and enhance the overall user experience.
-
Product Page Layout: On the product page (e.g., https://www.prosperavivre.com/category/all-products), I recommend displaying 3 to 4 products per row. Additionally, showing around 18 to 20 products per page will help organize the content better and make it easier for customers to browse.
-
Lazy Load for Images: Enabling lazy loading for images and other media ensures they only load when the user scrolls to them, improving the page’s loading time. Wix Editor X already supports this feature, and activating it will help optimize performance.
-
Mobile Performance: I tested the homepage on Google PageSpeed Insights (https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-www-prosperavivre-com/68gkh9elt4?form_factor=mobile), and I noticed that the mobile performance scores could be improved. The Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) score is affected by the Hero video & Amazon image. Adjusting the loading priority for this video & image so it loads earlier in the process will help improve the LCP score and speed up the page load time.
These improvements will not only help with the user experience but also boost site performance, especially on mobile. Let me know if you need any assistance implementing these changes!
