Regarding Wix Payments & Stripe

Hey guys,

Stripe sent this recently:

A new rule coming into effect on September 14, 2019 as part of PSD2 regulation in Europe, will require changes to how your European customers authenticate online payments. Card payments will require a different user experience, namely 3D Secure , in order to meet SCA requirements. Transactions that don’t follow the new authentication guidelines may be declined by your customers’ banks.

You will need to prepare for SCA and update your Stripe integration if all of the following apply:

  • Your business is based in the European Economic Area (EEA)

  • You serve customers in the EEA

  • You accept cards (credit or debit)

Is Wix going to provide for 3D secure facility for card payments? I understand this will only affect businesses in the European Economic Area but would like to know if changes will be made to Wix Payments or not.

Checking.

I found your other post here: https://www.wix.com/corvid/forum/community-discussion/bug-code-runs-twice-on-a-page-duplicated-from-the-menu

I raised the awareness to it.

Thanks Brett. I had even opened a support ticket but support can’t really help with coding issues (that’s what I was told)

Answer: yes. Wix will be compliant before the deadline, which is in September.

Thank you Brett
