3D Secure Card Payments

Stripe has just released an email mentioning that by 14th September 2019 most payments that do not contain 3D Secure will be rejected by most banks:

“On 14 September 2019, a new European regulatory requirement called Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) will introduce two-factor authentication requirements for many online payments in Europe. We expect this regulation to be enforced in the UK regardless of the outcome of Brexit. Payments that aren’t authenticated will be declined by your customers’ banks.
We’ve released a new payments API and SCA-ready products to help you prepare for this change. To get ready for these new rules and avoid having many European payments declined, you’ll need to make changes to your payment flows and Stripe integration by 14 September 2019. Read our docs to learn more about SCA and the required changes.”

I know there is is a feature request to had 3D Secure Card Payment, but this should be a urgent feature as off from that date onwards we might not be able to receive money as we are at the moment, and the whole point of wix bookings and store is lost then.
Please have a look at this! :slight_smile:

Hi Daniela. Thank you for your question! We are aware of the new regulation and we are already working on the new solution with Stripe. We will be ready by September.

Hello! And for the Braintree payments it will be a solution for 3D Secure 2.0 compliance also? Because Braintree sent me a several messages regarding this issue and they will block the account in case of non-complient.

hi @salaheddinet , @traceywond ! We have done the necessary updates to Stripe and Braintree. As well as Wix Payments. The changes will be live in the nearest time. There is no need to do anything on your side. Let me also remind you that the decision to enforce strong customer authentication remains on the cardholder’s bank, so some of your buyers may still be charged without 3DS.

Hello, I am using Braintree but as I can see 3D secure Payments are still not implemented on WIX? I have contacted WIX and I was said the only probably option would be to integrate that with coding, is that correct? And if so, does WIX provide any guidance on how to integrate the code for implementing 3D secure payments? Thanks
