I am wondering if it is just me who feels tired of removing the default 1px border that comes with containers and some other elements. I think it makes sense for it to be around. I almost never use borders. All the video tutorials I saw online also show how everyone removes the border. I know it is a small detail but when you’re building websites everyday and having to do this over and over it feels a bit annoying. Just a light shade of grey as the background color would be more useful so we can see the element. In most cases we actually customize the color so it makes sense to have a color instead of a transparent element. Thoughts??
Hi @info52 thanks for this, I’ll share this feedback to our product team.
Hi @info52 good news! we changed the default container from the QuickAdd to light grey instead of the border. as you asked
@yanayn , has this change taken effect? I’m still getting the 1-pixel outline and no background. Like @info52 , I’d prefer to dump the outline.
@jim75924 can you try refresh and check again?
@jim75924 just to make clear, the new style is only for new containers added from QuickAdd
Hi @jim75924 @info52 , sorry for the confusion, the change will be available tomorrow. will update here once it is.
Should be available now, after refresh
This is great news. It is so nice to see Wix pays close attention to our feedback and needs. Thanks again!
@yanayn , yes, it’s working now. Thx!
Haven’t used the standard editor in a while but a client’s site required me to do so today. I just noticed the box has a completely transparent option with no borders. I find this even more efficient
AFAIK in the standard editor the themed boxes presets are not transparent, but you can save your own themed box. you can do something similar in Editor X using Saved Assets.
Create a Transparent Container > Right Click > Save Asset
(it will be available as a preset in the Add Panel)
