Removing custom code from your wix site

Question:
How do I remove custom code from my published Wix Editor website?

Product:
Wix Editor

What are you trying to achieve:
I disabled the custom coding it but when I check my source code on my published site I still see the custom code. I expect when I untoggle the custom code button the custome code will NOT appear on the published site.

What have you already tried:
I’ve tried untoggling the enable button but it still shows. I’ve tried untoggling the button then going to any page and clicking the publish button but it’s still there.

You can show some pictures, of what you are describing?

By disabling → CUSTOM-CODING ← you mean you have disabled the DEVELOPER-MODE inside of your Wix-Studio-Editor?

How do I remove custom code from my published Wix Editor website?

There can’t be a → PUBLISHED-WIX-EDITOR !!!

Either you have a PUBLISHED-WEBSITE, or you have the WIX-EDITOR / WIX-STUDIO-EDITOR, where you can do your editings for your website.

So what exactly you want to turn off?

Are you maybe talking about → CONSOLE-LOGS ?

Thanks for trying to help! I used wix editor to build a website. A marketing firm asked me to add custom code for call tracking which I added by going to Settings > Custom Code.

See screenshot to reference the toggle button I slid to the “off” position. I assume in the off position the custom code should NOT load on the live website, but when I load the live website and view the page source code I can still see the custom code in the live page’s code source.

Am I missing a step that after I toggle the custom code to “off/not active” it actually takes the code off my site?

Correct - when the toggle is off, the code won’t load.

What I suspect is happening is you’re getting a cached version of the site (either locally or from the server), which is why the snippet is still appearing to load on the site.

Does it still happen if you load the site in incognito, or after you’ve cleared cache? When did you last turn it to off?
