Removing Get an Email Feature from Contact Forms

I have been really disappointed to see the ‘Get an Email’ feature has been removed from Wix Studio contact forms this week.
We are now forced to sign our customers up as collaborators so they can receive a contact form inquiry, which then puts them on the Wix mailing list. We signed up with Wix Studio as an agency and hoped it would be more agency-friendly; we want to control the relationship with our customers rather than them being on the Wix mailing list.

Has anyone managed to find anyway around this other than creating a bespoke email for the contact form inquiries and sending promotional emails to customers, as I believe you are then only limited to 200 with the default plan and there is no way of knowing if you have reached the limit.

A possible solution is to set up a triggered email using custom Velo code. This way, every time someone submits a contact form, your client will receive an email with the inquiry details directly.

By using triggered emails, you maintain control over your client’s communications without having to sign them up as collaborators. If you’re using custom Velo code, you can integrate a third-party email service like SendGrid, which offers more flexibility and higher limits.

Shame we would have to get to grips with custom code to send a contact form inquiry but it is a workaround so thank you for that
