Removing "Suspicious Page" Warning from URL

Help Needed! Removing “Suspicious Page” Warning from LinkedIn URL (Portfolio)

I’m reaching out to the community today for some guidance. When someone clicks on the link to my portfolio in my LinkedIn profile, they encounter a warning message labeling it as a “suspicious page.” I’d like to understand the potential causes behind this and what steps I can take to resolve the issue.

What I’m Trying to Achieve:

My goal is to ensure a seamless user experience for those visiting my portfolio through LinkedIn. The “suspicious page” warning can be off-putting and deter visitors from exploring my work.

What I’ve Tried Already:

I’ve researched common reasons for LinkedIn to flag a link as suspicious, such as potential malware or copyright infringement on the linked website. However, I’ve confirmed that my portfolio website adheres to security best practices and contains only original content.

My portfolio is hosted here on Wix Studio. I’ve ensured the site is up-to-date and secure.

I understand that LinkedIn prioritizes user safety. I’m confident that my portfolio poses no security risks and would be grateful for any insights on how to remove the warning message.

If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has suggestions for troubleshooting, I’d greatly appreciate your input. Thank you for your time and assistance!

There are several reasons why LinkedIn might flag your portfolio website:

  • Malicious Content: In rare cases, your website might be infected with malware or contain malicious content. However, this is less likely if you’re using a reputable website builder like Wix or hosting with a trusted provider.
  • Broken Links: If your portfolio link is broken or redirects to a non-existent page, LinkedIn might flag it as suspicious.
  • Recent Website Changes: If you recently made significant changes to your website, it might take some time for security scanners to update their information.
  • False Positive: Sometimes, security filters can be overly cautious and flag harmless websites.

Steps to Resolve:

  1. Test Your Website:
  • Use a website safety checker like Google’s Safe Browsing (Google Transparency Report) to see if it flags any issues.
  • Open your portfolio website in a private browsing window to see if the warning persists. This can help identify browser extension interference.
  1. Check Your Link:
  • Ensure the link you’ve added to your LinkedIn profile is correct and leads directly to your portfolio website.
  • Avoid using link shorteners as they can sometimes trigger warnings.

Hopefully, by following these steps, you can remove the “Suspicious Page” warning and ensure a smooth user experience for visitors from your LinkedIn profile.

if your website has a current SSL certificate then it is something you need to take up with LinkedIn.
What is the url ?

Well, I’ve made tests already, however is alright, no malware or anything else that could be possibly dangerous. I’ve made some changes recently, so I believe that’s the reason why it’s acting off.
Thank you for helping!
