I’m not sure if this feature already exists.

I’m trying to create a button on a forum category that will allow someone to start a post, visible to members only, and lock it so that only posters that click a “join conversation” button (and are subsequently approved by the original poster) can reply.

Is that doable?

At this moment there is no integration between Wix Code and Wix Forum so it’s not possible.
Feel free to post your request in our Feature Request forum .
