Got it, and we will work on solving this so you would be able to show/hide the button per event, and not for all events.
One solution I have come up with is simply to type in “NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT — Thank you!” where it will show up next to the “Register Now” buttons. This would be in the “Short Teaser” and the “About Your Event” sections. Not a perfect solution by no means but hopefully people can differentiate between events to register and not register for.
ive just begun to work on our site and within a day I discovered this problem - our customers don’t need to register For events. This thread started 7 months ago. is there anything on the horizon before I spend time learning work arounds.

@tal-gonenne I would simply like to have the option on the details page to remove the “Register Now” button because there are times when we do want people to register.

I am designing a webpage for my hockey league and added a Wix Events app that lists upcoming games. People do NOT need to register or RSVP. Its simply there for informative purposes. I followed all the directions on how to toggle the RSVP button off, but its STILL there! I do not want it!
You can hide the RSVP button on your event details through the settings panel > display > scroll down to hide button. This will hide the button for ALL your events for now.
Yes Tal… I think that can be done since the beginning of this product or at least from a long time now. The problem is once you take it away from one event it goes away from all. And very often this is not what we want. Please make a little effort here. This will be very useful!

@tal-gonenne I’m not talking about the RSVP toggle button on the event details page. Im talking about the actual Wix Events box on the home page. I want to get rid of that button entirely.

The event list has a button so you can get drilled into more event info and then the purchase of tickets/RSVP, if that button is removed then you’re just showing a list of events which you can build using a repeater and Wix Corvid

@tal-gonenne : I mean, you said you were working on a solution to this, but … when’s it coming? Feels like there’s a lot of sweet-talking going on here.
@tal-gonenne I explained it a little above…I’m listing the game schedule on my hockey league website. Its simply for informative purposes so people can see when the next game is and what teams are involved. There is no need to RSVP, and since its just a recreational league there is also no need to purchase tickets as the games are free public events.
@kellyackerman I think that it’ll be better for you to use Wix Corvid, create your own database and connect fields to the repeater. Here’s why: Wix Events is an app that it’s purpose is to allow you to create and manage events. Since you don’t need any event management capability (your need is purely informational) you can achieve the same need by using a repeater.
@tbauwenszaken Hey Thomas, we really appreciate the feedback on this, we know this is an important change you’re in need of, we’re working very hard at the moment on many features for Events, that would also improve user’s experience, which is why this is still in the making. Once we have an ETA for this ability, I will update it here.
This is so frustrating. Virtually everyone on this thread has suggested the ideal solution. Is there no way to put out a patch that allows the rsvp button to be hidden on an individual event basis. As a programmer, this seems like such a simple problem. Without this option, events are practically useless as it’s causing massive confusion for our users.
As do many others, I would like to be able to hide the REGISTER button. Sometime ago you said you were working on a solution for this - so when will it be ready? I am trying a template on WIX that I like except for the fact that I NEED to be able to hide that BUTTON for the majority of our ‘events’.
