Is this currently an existing feature request?
I don’t know…but it should be.
Wishlist item
Please make WIX sites MUCH more responsive. What I have currently is really half-a$$.
What current pain point are you facing?
When I make my window smaller, elements do not resize and / or flow. Please reference this website to learn more about how to make elements flow properly: A Complete Guide to Flexbox | CSS-Tricks - CSS-Tricks In addition, there is no Tablet icon so that I can adjust my site to look good on tablets, WHY? I at least need Desktop / Laptop, Tablets, & Phones → But really the site should be very responsive and move fluidly so as to look great at any size and in both horizontal and landscape views (since you can hold phones and tablets either way… and all of the devices come with a myriad of screen sizes)
Note: It is also important to be able to make elements “display none” as sizes get smaller and some items might be more important to display than others… (ex. I might not show the login section or the search bar on the menu anymore and I may need the logo and menu items to get smaller.)
Do you have a current workaround that you’re using?
I know how to code, but I don’t know how to modify your premade elements, so no.
Describe the feature you need and how it would work. (Bonus points for mockups )
I need you to program your premade elements correctly! (This makes the most sense since most users purchase WIX so they don’t need to code.) OR I need each element to have easily modifiable CSS so that I can fix it with media queries. (Or perhaps what would be better is you could incorporate a new page break tool or preview mode with css listed on the side or something…) From working in WordPress, I know that mixing and matching modular pre-built elements with CSS can be less than fun. Ideally this would be integrated in a way that feels a lot more natural and that doesn’t leave room for bugginess when speaking of page load time, etc.
How will this impact you?
I just don’t want my professional website to look jank. - I think that makes sense! The industry standard is much higher. I simply want a professional looking experience for my clients. Coming from a design background, this is simply not at an acceptable level.
