Not new to WIX but, quite new ti WIX Studio. And need advice
I have built a webpage and adjusted the design for the default desktop, tablet and phone screen sizes. But despite my effort elements are just all over the place when on platforms in other sizes than the 3 default in WIX Studio.
I don’t believe its the way it should be. What have I missed?
Good evening, or rather, good night. Before I go to sleep , I thought I’d offer you a little help. Welcome to the world of Wix Studio Editor. While Wix Studio Editor is still a product in development and does have its fair share of bugs, the issue you’re currently facing is likely a solvable one unrelated to those bugs. Everyone new to Wix Studio Editor encounters similar challenges at first. In most cases, these issues arise because certain Wix Studio-specific settings haven’t been configured yet.
Wix Studio Editor is essentially an editor designed for creating responsive websites. If you approach it expecting the same operations as the standard Wix Editor, you may end up disappointed when elements don’t appear where you intended, or when elements are too far apart, overlap, or are misaligned.
The first thing you need to focus on is learning about the “stack” function that Wix Studio offers. Next, you need to familiarize yourself with setting margins and padding for elements. Stacking elements is like making them hold hands. Imagine you’re asking two elements to stay close to each other, maintaining at least a certain distance (or ratio) between them, even as the display size changes.
By using this feature to set the spacing between elements, you can prevent them from scattering or overlapping. Once you master these tools, you’ll be able to avoid the frustrations that come with designing layouts in Wix Studio Editor.
Hi Henrik, welcome! For better responsiveness, try using the stack function and adjust margins, padding, and font sizes for each device. It’ll help keep your design consistent across all screen sizes.
