I have created a beautiful website but I can not make it responsive for the life of me. I’m educated in Wordpress and some CSS. However I’m playing with layers and I can’t wrap my head around the difference between cells - section grids. It’s not allowing me to move Section Grids into other layers and when I created a Section Grid first it totally messed up my website. I’m so annoyed!
Anyone else think Wix Studio has become too professional?
I love the platform. Most other platforms like Elementor, WordPress, Shopify, etc use a block editor while Wix is a free drag-and-drop editor. While getting used to Wix Studio can be a problem at first, once you get used to it, it is a game changer for design. I even find the drag and drop function better than block sometimes where you have to set padding and margin for each element.
As for responsive behavior, a few things will make it easier -
Always stack elements inside a container/section/cells/repeaters
Set a Min-Max range for fonts in the website style.
Set the responsive behavior of app widgets to fit to the screen, header, footer, and similar sections to a fixed height, and if you want to change the section or cell height and width with the device, choose scale proportionally.
Use Padding in containers, sections, and cells to make the design consistent.
As for section grids, you can delete them and swap the positions.
I’m feeling the same way. The padding refuses to cooperate. Being stuck at the beginning is difficult. I was hoping to see some content on how to fix it but not much so far in a way that I can understand.
