Retroactive referral discounts, did I miss something? If not, feature request!

Hi all.

Trying to set up a referral program for my website at the moment.

Am I correct in saying there’s no way to retroactively apply a discount to an order as a reward for referring?

The problem I have is that my site is a single product that people will realistically only purchase once. So the promise of a discount on future orders or free shipping isn’t going to work for me.

I’m open to accomplishing this with some code if there’s a way to do it?

I don’t believe it’s possible, and am unaware of any workarounds.

It’s not something I’ve encountered as a consumer on other sites though. It’s usually for future purchases - but sounds like an interesting use case for sure!
