Router, Wix Code, & Custom 404 Pages? Is this a thing now?

hmmm, is it possible to manipulate Wix sites using Wix Code to show a custom 404 page instead of the generic? My understanding is that using routers and my own definitions, I can make a page send a 404 error under certain conditions. Having seen what I have seen before and know to be possible on Wix Code, I was wondering if I could also display a self-made page for this situation or even a lightbox or something like that in case 404 is triggered so I can offer some options such as search or other recommendations (Search box will help us collect data on what was intended and what was missed).

Thanks
Omid

Hi,

It is not possible to add a custom 404 page with the wix code router system.
Routers allow you to control when the 404 page is displayed, however the built-in page is used and it cannot be customised.

Very keen to have a customised 404 page.

Just spoke with the tech support, apparently, as of now (Dec 2019) only the site owner can activate the 404 page editing.
