Hello guys,
i came across this article about repeaters in Editor X (https://support.wix.com/en/article/editor-x-using-repeaters) and as far as ive seen it, Repeaters seem to have a bit more flexibility than in the standard editor. I read in a lot of articles that it is a huge issue for a lot of WIX users that they cant create horizontally sliding repeaters with the standard editor. Am i correct that this is achievable with with Editor X? Because that might be a crucial functionality for my platform; and it seems that wont come to the standard editor anytime soon without some coding…
Yes, horizontally sliding repeaters are very easy to create in Editor X.
Cool, thank your for the reply. The last time i checked EditorX was during the Beta. Does it work stable now?
And what reason is there to still go for the standard editor instead of EditorX, from your point of view?
It has improved a lot since the beginning of the beta and is definitely more stable. Of course there are some issues, but that’s true for anything. There are still some features that the classic editor has that Editor X does not have yet. That may or may not be a big deal depending on what features you need to use. Things like multi-state boxes as one example. The overall structuring of elements on a page works very differently and I recommend using it to build actual pages to familiarize yourself with it and see if it’s a good fit for the project. Watching tutorials and reading the forums are helpful. Personally I use it as often as possible and hope to move all my sites over to it eventually.
@wcavataio Okay, thanks for the feedback!
Regarding scrolling repeaters, you can vote for this feature to be added to the classic Editor here:
