Hi there, I am just wondering if there are any plans to launch advanced search functionality to repeaters in Wix Editor e.g. the same functionality that is in forums namely the ability to filter and sort search results. As Wix websites are competing against ever more sophisticated eCommerce players, customers expectation is to be able to search sites quickly. It would be great to know if any enhancements are in the pipeline?
Mind elaborating or sharing some examples @office69653 . There is a search option that will search for instances of the text throughout the site and apps.
However, since you mentioned repeaters, I’m not sure if you are looking to allow users to filter based on selection . If you have some familiarity coding, might be possible to search collection data .
Hi Roberto, on my website I have repeaters and also use search functionality. I use:
- Wix search e.g. at https://www.savvyspender.ie/
- Custom search e.g. at https://www.savvyspender.ie/discount . This also includes a category filter
Given that I’ve a huge amount of information in my collections, my search functionality will need to improve in order for me to deliver an exceptional customer experience that lets customers discover information easily.
I would like my website search functionality on the website to be similar to the below example which is taken from the Wix Owner app. This search has searched my ‘Deals’ collection and lets the user filter search results by category and to sort results.
Thanks for the follow-up @office69653 and the image example. Will forward to the team.
@Rob Hi Roberto, just wondering if you have been able to get an answer? Thanks,
@office69653 No feedback from the team but will try to reach out. It’s a separate team from Editor X but will follow-up. Generally the team will review the feedback and try to put it on the development timeline. If you do have some experience coding, was able to see that there are option for multiple filter methods so might recommend checking them out or checking out the Velo forum as well if such a feature is available to code.
