Introduction:
Wix Store owners selling digital products will find that download links sent to customers expire after 30 days. Customers need a way to access the latest versions of their purchases and Store owners/Admins need a way of getting them to their customers, preferably without having to resend download links or email customers with a link to a third party storage provider each time they patch or update their software.
To overcome this we went about creating a dedicated ‘Your Downloads’ area for our customers that uses Wix’s built in storage, gives up-to-date access to the very latest version of a product and eliminates the need to email customers with new download links. They just self serve.
