Hi, Just started on web site creation and have got myself horribly tangled up. I rather need these questions answered - I have looked but cannot see the answers on the Wix Help site.
(1) If I delete the template I’ve been using and either start another or do that one again do I keep my web site address? This is important as I’ve printed some flyers with the web address on them.
(2) I seem to have a lot of black space on my site between text and images - is there some way I can delete this so everything follows on from everything else?
(3) What does “strip” mean? All my text/images seem to be in a strip box.
My web address is https://bsomers0.wixsite.com/actingcoach as you will see there’s a white area on the top, below which only half my face is seen and a lengthy black empty space at the bottom.
(4) should everything on the desktop view be in much the same position as on the mobile view? If so, alas, it isn’t.
(5) can you move text around whilst you’re in mobile view? Likewise can you get rid of excess black space?
I’d very much appreciate any help!

Question 1:
In Wix you can connect any site you have to a domain name or address. You can switch one template/site to your address if you have connected a domain. If you do not have premium and domain every site you create will get a name /sitename and then you will need to first rename the old site and then rename the new one to old sites name.
Question 2:
This is a design question, get to know the Wix Editor by looking at some youtube videos on the @wix channel.
Question 3:
This is also a Wix Editor question, I would suggest you look at the latest Wix video where they discuss strips and columns in details.
Question 4:
The mobile design holds all elements you have added to your desktop but you should and in most cases must make sure your mobile site gets the redesign you need to make it super good.
Question 5:
Another Wix Editor question but answer is yes.

Thanks Andreas - re Q1 - I do not understand - now I have a site and have put in on publicity material. As I can’t change this material I need to have the same URL address if I change template - from what you say I take it that that won’t be possible (i.e. if I rename my old site as you say my publicity material is defunct).
So I guess I’ll battle on with what I’ve got and check out the videos you mention.
