Tab box with content linked to content manager?

Hi there.
I was wondering if there’s a way to create a tab-style box that is linked to the content manager. I have tried a few approaches (normal pre-designed tabs, multi-state boxes, etc.) and I am not seeing any options that do what I am looking for.

Basically, I am trying to achieve the following:

  1. Have a content box that operates as like the tabs multi-state box feature
  2. Create tabs for each item in the content manager (i.e., I may want two this month, but next month may want 4, etc., and I don’t want to have to update the page every time i want to add new tabs).
  3. Connect the tabs (the titles of the tabs, the content in the boxes, etc.) to the items in the content manager. The content in the CM is a title and some rich text.

Any ideas?
